Division of Emergency/Urgent Care

Director, Dr. Carmine LoMonaco

The Division of Emergency/Urgent Care addresses the needs of those patients who present to the dental school with either an existing emergency or with an urgent care need. Both Junior and Senior dental students rotate through this clinic. These services are provided not only to those patients who are registered patients of the Dental School but also to those patients who are not currently receiving active treatment.

Emergency/Urgent Care Component of Patient Care and Management. The Emergency/Urgent Care module is a 6-hour didactic and clinical course. The course is designed to teach the students the art and science of triage and differential diagnosis and how and when to render the appropriate emergency dental treatment when required.
