Administration / Offices / Clinical Affairs / Environmental Safety / Annual OSHA Update Annual OSHA Update
Each year, faculty and staff are required to participate in OSHA update training. This training is provided to review important aspects of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, the OSHA Post-Exposure Policy, and to transmit new information as necessary related to infection control and environmental safety. It also provides the school an opportunity to reinforce institutional policies and procedures as they relate to infection control. Training is provided primarily through lunch time seminars. Although the days on which this training is given varies not everyone can make these sessions. In order to meet the goal of 100% compliance in this area, the Office of Infection Control and Environmental Safety has created this online supplement. The materials contained on this site include the PowerPoint presentation given during the lunch-time sessions and a text document which covers the subject in greater detail. Faculty and staff who did not complete the lunch-time session are asked to download the documents and review them. In order to confirm completion of this exercise and compliance with the annual update requirement, a brief post-test is included - please download the test, complete it and return to the Office of Infection Control and Environmental Safety. You will receive a confirmation that the annual update has been completed following review of the post-test. Feel free to contact Teri Lassiter at lassiter@umdnj.edu, x2-3635, with any questions. |
