Research / Student Research STUDENT SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM We are fortunate to have our faculty sponsor a diverse set of projects for our students. These research projects range from clinical studies to behavioral investigations, and from in vitro laboratory studies to dental materials research. The quality of these research endeavors is clearly demonstrated in the numerous scientific papers and presentations at such prestigious organizations as the American and International Association for Dental Research, the American Dental Association, and the New Jersey Dental Association. The recognition received by presentations given at these meetings encourages students to pursue additional research opportunities and underscores the school's integrated approach to education and research. On behalf of our Dean, Dr. Cecile Feldman, our students and faculty, I wish to acknowledge and to express our gratitude to the Colgate-Palmolive Company, Pfizer, Inc., Glaxo Smith Kline, Church and Dwight, the New Jersey Dental School Dean's Office, and the Foundation of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey for their generous sponsorship of the Student Summer Research Program.
