prior to the one in which the student plans to enter dental
school. Check
the AADSAS instruction booklet for the application filing
deadline. Prospective

SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION IS REQUIRED
The New Jersey Dental School does not use a supplemental application, however there is a $75.00 application fee made payable to UMDNJ for the processing of your application. The $75.00 application fee should be sent directly to the school when contacted by an Admissions Officer. New Jersey Dental School Office of Admissions, Room B830 110 Bergen Street Newark, NJ 07101
Limited supplies
of printed applications for the dental application cycle are
available at the American Dental Education Association (ADEA)
central office. Applicants are now able to download, and print,
paper applications from the ADEA web-site: http://www.adea.org/AADSAS/default.htm

Applications
may be submitted prior to the completion of predental education.
Provisional acceptance may be granted contingent upon satisfactory
completion of all prerequisite courses. However, Dental Admissions
Test Scores must be available before any admissions decision
will be made. Students wishing to have a final decision on
their application by December 1 must have their applications
completed and received at the UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School
by October 1.
A completed
application consists of the AADSAS application folder, all
required credentials (see AADSAS Instruction Booklet) and
Dental Admissions Test scores. A student may be interviewed
without Dental Admissions Test scores. However the score must
be submitted to NJDS Admissions Office prior to Dec. 1, to
be eligible for the first cycle of notification letters. After
December 1st admission to the New Jersey Dental
School is on a rolling basis.
Since there
may be several weeks between the time an application is filed
with AADSAS and the time it is received by the dental school,
early application is advisable.
THE DENTAL SCHOOL
IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DELAYS IN AADSAS'S PROCESSING OF THE
APPLICATION, WHETHER DUE TO THEIR ERROR OR STUDENT ERROR.
All credentials submitted to the New Jersey Dental School
to support an application for admission become the property
of the Dental School and will not be returned.
