ADMISSIONS
POLICY
Students
are selected for admission to UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School
on the basis of scholastic achievement, fitness and aptitude
for the study of dentistry, and other personal qualifications.
Since success in the dental program depends on a number of
related factors in a student's development, of which scholastic
accomplishments are only a part, the Admissions Committee
also gives consideration to the use of language, special aptitudes,
mechanical skill, stamina, perseverance, and motivation. The
Board of Trustees of the University has committed itself and
the University and its schools to a policy of equal opportunity
without regard to race, color, creed or religion, sex, national
origin, age, military status, marital status, disability if
otherwise qualified, or other factors prohibited by law. This
is the governing principle in student admissions, other student
services and employment. The New Jersey Dental School recognizes
the value of diversity and is committed to providing appropriate
support for its student body.
