General Practice
Residency.
This residency is an intensive one-year program dedicated to advanced training in general and hospital based dentistry for dental school graduates. It is designed to provide the general dentist with advanced knowledge and skills that will enable him/her to proficiently perform comprehensive care on a wide range of patient populations and settings.

The fellowship provides advanced training in infectious diseases, general dentistry and dental management of the medically complex patient. More
Oral Medicine
Fellowship.
This program is specifically designed for the dentist who wishes to gain a scientific background and additional training in the practice of oral medicine. The educational program will focus on all aspects of Oral Medicine including the diagnosis, and primarily non-surgical treatment of local and systemic diseases of the oral cavity, including the mucosa, salivary glands, and the surrounding structures; as well as comprehensive oral health care services for medically complex patients. This is an 11 month program. More

Preceptorship.
This program is specifically designed for the dentist who wishes to gain a scientific background and additional training in the practice of oral medicine. The educational program will focus on all aspects of Oral Medicine including the diagnosis, and primarily non-surgical treatment of diseases of the oral cavity, including the mucosa, salivary glands, and the surrounding structures; as well as comprehensive oral health care services for medically complex patients. This is a 3 month observation program. More
Orofacial
Pain Fellowship. This Fellowship is designed for qualified dentists who wish to acquire the scientific background and clinical skills necessary to diagnose and manage patients with orofacial pain and TMD. More
Department of Diagnostic Sciences Fellowship.
This program is specifically designed for the dentist who wishes to gain clinical training, a scientific background and additional diagnosis and management skills in Oral Medicine, Orofacial Pain, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology, Dental Emergency Care, Dental Treatment Planning and Nutrition related issues in dentistry.
Second Year General Practice Residency Program in Special Care Dentistry.
The 2nd year GPR at New Jersey Dental School is an intensive one-year program dedicated to advanced training in the special care population. This educational program is designed to provide a dentist with advanced knowledge and skills that will enable him/her to proficiently provide comprehensive patient care for the patient with special needs.
